Does anybody know of a legal pay-for-your-download music services like Napster or Rhapsody that are accessable to Linux users? I've found a project called "Gnapster", but the last release was several years ago, so I'm assuming it doesn't work with the new, legal Napster.

Did you try All of MP3?

I don't have Linux but you could try this one. It is a pay site. It costs around 10- 30 cents a song. I put $20.00 in the account and got tons of songs and still have money left in there. $20.00 lasts a LONG time. Give it a try. Smile

eMusic supports PC, Macintosh, and Linux.
Here's any helful information that you might need for eMusic. They've got both a per month payment and a per download one.

Hope either Clare or mine are good for you. Enjoy!

Thank you both. :-)

Just incase anybody searching comes across this thread later on, here's a few other answers I got elsewhere:

SharpMusique and PyMusique are iTunes clients for Linux (SharpMusique currently appears to have more features supported).

Here and here are some pages about trying to get Rhapsody to work under Wine.

My favorite is eTomiPro. They have a gazillion songs and it's cheap.
